Lisa is returning to NYC after spending the summer as part of the Equity Company at The Barn Theatre, MI. Pics and Reviews from Summer Stock 2009.
Lisa Marie as the Narrator in Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat! 2009
Based on her past work, Lisa Marie Morabito will provide equal excellence when she takes over the role next week.- Christopher Tower for The Battle Creek Enquirer
Don't Drink The Water Reviews:  Marabito's unassuming portrayal of a housewife from New Jersey thrust into the world of international intrigue is emotionally believable and consistently on target from the standpoint of comic timing. That's not an easy feat and it's one that escaped some of the other key performers on opening night.- Gordon Bolar for The Kalamazoo Gazette

Morabito steals the show as Marion. Employing a New Jersey accent that’s never too much and infusing her performance with a perfect gesture, facial expression, or mannerism every moment she’s on stage, Morabito is by far the best thing about this entire production. -Christopher Tower for The Battle Creek Enquirer

Full Monty Reviews:  Without exceptional singer-dancers throughout the cast, the musical could come off as amateur hour.  Under the flawless direction Lisa Marie Morabito, the Barn production is first-rate. - C.J. GIANAKARIS for The Kalamazoo Gazette

Morabito clearly deserves high praise for orchestrating the many facets of this show. Despite its length, she keeps the show moving at breakneck pace, infuses the production with many instances of comic business and draws out some of the best performances yet by this exceptional cast. - Christopher Tower for The Batle Creek Enquirer

The Producers

Cast, crew showcase strengths in 'The Producers'

Thursday, June 14, 2007

The Grand Rapids Press

When you've got it, flaunt it. ...

Director/choreographer Larry Nye takes advantage of The Barn's large staff of acting interns to create numerous big production numbers such as Bloom with a chorus line singing "I Want to be a Producer" or a stage full of old ladies tap dancing with their walkers. ...

The show also spotlights the talents of Barn regulars, including Eric Petersen as the pigeon-loving Nazi playwright, Eric Parker as the cross-dressing gay director, Alston Brown as the director's flaming assistant, and Lisa Marie Morabito as the provocatively sexy Ulla. ...

Barn's 'Producers' is something to crow about

AUGUSTA — If it's not enough news that the Barn Theatre landed the rights to "The Producers," the 2001 Broadway musical that set a new record with 12 Tony Awards, the Barn's second production of its 2007 season featured several other noteworthy elements....

The Barn Theater once again demonstrates that it has assembled its best company in years. Aiello and Burkell who have shared the stage many times in dual lead roles have never been better. Burkell is better suited to the role of Bloom than Matthew Broderick, who played the role on Broadway. Aiello starts slow with nothing to distinguish his performance from Nathan Lane's, but late in the second act with "Betrayed," he demonstrates why he is one of the best actors in the Barn's annual retinue. ...

Normally, Parker would stand out among the many character parts, and though he's very good, he's completely upstaged by the swishy stylings of Brown. Peterson yet again shows why he is one of the best performers ever to apprentice at the Barn as the Nazi playwright. But it's Morabito who finally is given a lead role after years of playing bit parts, and she makes the most of every moment she has on stage. Morabito is and always has been a rising star, who will one day be among the names of the now famous who had their start at the Barn....

Nunsense: The Mega Musical

"Lisa Marie Morabito may have the plum role of the show as the starstruck and streetwise Sister Robert Anne. Morabito is a flexible and versatile performer who apparently can take any role and seem as if she was born to play it." - Christopher Towers "Battle Creek Enquirer"
