Biography

      Lisa Marie is from Winter Garden, FL.  Yep, born and raised there.  It's just west of Orlando, for those of you who don't know.   Her very first play was "Lil' Abner" in which she played Mammy Yokum.  She holds a B.F. A. in Acting from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio.  Favorite roles from her time at WSU include Bella in "Lost in Yonkers" and Perdita in "A Winter's Tale."

       Lisa began earning her way toward her Equity Card by working at The Victoria Theatre in Dayton for The Human Race Theatre Co. She earned her Equity card as an apprentice at The Barn Theatre in Augusta, Michigan.  After moving to NYC, Lisa has acted in numerous productions in the city.  Lisa Marie returned to The Barn as a member of The Barn Theatre Resident Equity Company for the 2007 and 2009 season between which she was performing in "Mamma Mia" in Las Vegas, where she played the character of Lisa, the bridesmaid, and also u/s and performed the role of Sophie, the ingenue bride to be.  Making her foray into directing, recently Lisa directed "The Full Monty" in MI to rave reviews and came back to Assistant Direct a few Off-Broadway shows including the Vital Theatre production of "Uncle Pirate" and the Amas Musical Theatre production of "Signs of Life."

                       Lisa Marie married fellow Barnie, Eric Petersen, on October 20, 2007 after meeting at The Barn during their apprenticeships.  She is now pregnant with their first child due this summer, to be named Sophia Marie Petersen.

                       Lisa thanks God, Eric, and her entire family, Mom, Dad, Trey, Granddad, Gradmom, Grandpa, Grandma, Uncles, Aunts, and cousins for always being supportive and loving.  I love you guys more than the flowers on Blueberry Hill.
